When a web host uses account automation software for user sign-up how can they control security in terms of keeping fraudulent users and spammers, etc. from automatically signing up and putting their evil content on a server?

web hosts still have to face this problem because it is difficult to say Whether it’s automatic or manual.

I think it’s a matter of human monitoring.

Firewalls and automated servers monitoring is a good way to prevent spamming eg. CPU load, Mem Load, database loops, mail queue etc.

What I know is that these spywares etc needs to access a few dlls (windows) or need right permissions to execute. You can use a script to prevent client applications to use these files.

I think you’re right because no matter how good the systems, you must have a human monitoring on all your server

Yes, u r right. Is there anyway that the pages generated by a forum can be changed so that they appear as HTML (or something else) and the search engines can read them.

It could be that the forum software you’re using requires a login or uses dynamically generated pages so that Google can’t read it.

Use robots.txt file on your server? That could keep Google out if you’ve got that forum page listed there. Normally, text on a forum should be accessible to Google.

I’m not too familiar with H-sphere, but I know it’s features and have heard quite a few good things about it.Anyone out there who is using the H-Sphere control panel?

I have been using it for years and LOVE it.

I have used it in the past and it was a decent cp and its cluster feature really worked nice.

Every CP makes difference for everyone and everyone have a choice of their own CP. My choice – H-Sphere.

H-Sphere is an excellent choice.

I also don’t like CPanel and I can recommend H-sphere control panel.

The CP dosent matter you’ve to choose with which you are comfortable and feel easier to use.

CP security is something else worth considering. I’ve heard that CPanel has plenty of bugs.

if you have a international site I’d recommend to have it on a US server.

It would depend on the backbone of the datacenter.

The best thing is to host in a country where visitors are coming from.

We prefer hosts from any location giving up competitive pricing and Quality service.

I agree with biatche, the most important are price and quality of the package. If someone can offer good service at reasonable prices that’s allways a good news for a user.

Search Engines give value to geographical location for local searches, as a example if your site is in a UK server and if you move it to a US server you could experience a drop in UK SE (search Engine) visitors.

U don’t see any problem if you have a webhost at USA

You will not face any kind of problem as of such but if your target market is UK it’s better to be hosted on UK based servers.
