- (August 06, 2018) Conspiracy-theory-driven show Infowars Off Its Platform
Some of the social media and tech companies like Apple, Facebook, Spotify, and YouTube removed Infowars from their platform based on conspirational news content. They claimed to deliver the news but didn’t deal with facts, hence limited to reaching a massive audience. Apple removed the entire library for five of Infowars and six podcasts from iTunes and podcast apps, which include ‘Show War Room’ and ‘Popular Alex Jones Show’ hosted daily by the prominent conspiracy theorist.
YouTube removal has impacted it a lot, as it had 2.5 million subscribers and more than 1 billion views over its lifetime.
Presently, the shows are available on Twitter and Periscope.
