Preferred location of Host

Today internet is so popular and borderless, people do business worldwide and hosting company comes from many countries. As we know US company are expanding and open up data centre Indian, China, Malaysia and Singapore to capture the new growing market.

Give your opinion, which country is your preferred choice and why?

if you have a international site I’d recommend to have it on a US server.

It would depend on the backbone of the datacenter.

The best thing is to host in a country where visitors are coming from.

We prefer hosts from any location giving up competitive pricing and Quality service.

I agree with biatche, the most important are price and quality of the package. If someone can offer good service at reasonable prices that’s allways a good news for a user.

I preferred US hosts

Search Engines give value to geographical location for local searches, as a example if your site is in a UK server and if you move it to a US server you could experience a drop in UK SE (search Engine) visitors.

Many website using just one webhost

I’m a freelance designer and would like to host all my clients websites.

I would like to host all website using just one webhost provider. How do i check if they would allow different urls in the same package. Most of the times i see subdomains but i dont need those.

I would suggest u to choose a small reseller account.
If you would like to know whether you are able to host more than one domain in one single account, look out for “Addon Domains”.
yes, The addon domains have to be managed in one single account using the same control panel.
If you would like to grant individual control panel for each domain, you would need to look for a reseller account. A reseller account allows you to grant such privileges.
Go for reseller, it’s a lot easier than fiddling arounf with addon domains and means that you also have space for expansion later on should you need it.
choose a hosting provider that offers the option to have more then 1 domain hosted in one account , just check if in their plan description a multi domains hosted is included
cpwebhosting.net allowed to host Unlimited Domain in one web hosting account.
Most webhosts offer multi-domain accounts and some offer reseller accounts, which is what you are looking for but cpwebhosting.net is best.
It would be better to start with bulk account or multiname account. You can avail the benefit of hosting multi domains with the single account. Also it would be better if you go with the H-sphere control panel for your ease account management.

web host advice

I live in the UK however I want to use a web host in the USA .

Am I able to do this and what if any problems will I encounter ?

U don’t see any problem if you have a webhost at USA

You will not face any kind of problem as of such but if your target market is UK it’s better to be hosted on UK based servers.

Yes,u r right. SEs would categorize your website as a UK website which would get your site better rankings in Google.co.uk for your targeted keywords.

Additional charge for excessive usage of bandwidth

I am having a website on which it is usually an incured additional charge for excessive usage of bandwidth.

You can increase your bandwidth, or there is one more type of bandwidth measurement that is Unmetered Method.
This type providers cap or control the “top line” speed for a server. Top line speed in Unmetered bandwidth is the total Mbit/s allocated to the server and configured on the switch level. For example, if you purchase 10 Mbit/s Unmetered bandwidth, the top line speed would be 10 Mbit/s. 10 Mbit/s would result in the provider controlling the speed transfers take place while providing the ability for the dedicated server owner to not be charged with bandwidth overages. Unmetered bandwidth services usually incur an additional charge.

Calculation by most of Hosting Providers

How most of the hosting providers calculate the bandwidth consumption?

Most of the hosting providers calculates bandwidth according to the Total Transfer Method.
This is the measurement of actual data leaving and coming from the server, measured in bytes.

Measurement between providers varies and includes one of the following equations:

* Method 1: IN TRAFFIC + OUT TRAFFIC = TOTAL TRANSFER
* Method 2: IN TRAFFIC = TOTAL TRANSFER
* Method 3: OUT TRAFFIC = TOTAL TRANSFER

Big companies opt for the dedicated server

Most of the big companies opt for the dedicated server. Is there any specific reason for that?

One of the reasons Big companies choose to outsource dedicated servers is the availability of high powered networks from multiple providers. As dedicated server providers utilize massive amounts of bandwidth, they are able to secure lower volume based pricing to include a multi-provider blend of bandwidth.
To achieve the same type of network without a multi-provider blend of bandwidth, a large investment in core routers, long term contracts, and expensive monthly bills would need to be in place. The expenses needed to develop a network without a multi-provider blend of bandwidth does not make sense economically for hosting providers.

Switching host providers have effect search engine ranking

I am planning to move my site to cpwebhosting.net very soon as they seem to be reputed and reliable hosts. My only concern is will switching host providers have any effect on my site’s ranking in Google and other major search engines?

Switching hosts should not affect the site’s ranking as your content and link backs are the same even after you change your host.

If your site server location change then it might affect the google ranking.
for example If your site is UK based and it is hosted on US servers then it might affect the google ranking

My site is currently hosted on US servers, now i m planning to move my site to cpwebhosting.net servers and they are also US based host and their server are located at Atlanta(US). I have seen good reviews about them online and one of my friends also recommended cpwebhosting.net to me.

switching to new host will not affect your Google ranking.

What I will suggest you to ensure following things before switching to any new host :
* Ensure that the new web hosting plan you’ve chosen offers you the enough storage space to handle all of your current website storage requirements.
* Does your new web hosting plan offer you the same amount of email accounts, auto responders and mail forwards that you presently use?
* If you are making use of any scripts on your site, ensure that your new web hosting company supports all your scripts.
* Do you know how to properly upload your site files & data to the new server? If you don’t know perfectly, you’ll need to find out if your new web host’s technical support staff will upload your files for you. Some of them apply charges for doing so.
* Find out if your new hosting plan delivers you the same or more bandwidth that your current host provides. Don’t compromise in bandwidth or you may face problems.

Thanx Axe Solutions,

I have checked cpwebhosting.net services and find that it will be best for me.Now that it’s clear that switching hosts won’t affect the site’s rankings, I shall move to cpwebhosting.net soon

Server hosting providers offer a 100% uptime guarantee on their network

How most of the dedicated server hosting providers offer a 100% uptime guarantee on their network.

For providing the 99% uptime, dedicated server providers include a SLA (Service Level Agreement) based on network uptime.
By securing multiple vendors for connectivity and using redundant hardware, providers are able to guarantee higher uptimes; usually between 99-100% uptime if they are a higher quality provider.
One aspect of higher quality providers is they are mostly likely multi-homed across multiple quality uplink providers, which in turn, provides significant redundancy in the event one goes down in addition to potentially improved routes to destinations.

Shared hosting with add on domains or reseller

hello,
I’m looking to host some domains for that i want a new web hosting account. I’m wondering if shared hosting with add on domains or reseller will be better for me.Each domain name will have some subdomains, a few mysql databases and an email address. Can I do this with add-on domains? Any disadvantages for this?

U can use addon domains
I’m using 1 hosting account to host multiple domains.

if you are going to offer hosting to others then choose Reseller web hosting plan.

cpwebhosting.net allow Unlimited SubDomain with all shared hosting plans

one advantage to having domain addons are that you have the ability to manage both the main domain name and the addons with one single control panel.

If each domain will likely belong to separate customers then choose cpwebhosting.net Reseller web hosting plan
