Add more resources to my reseller Account

Hi,

How can I buy more resources like more space, accounts, once, I’ve signed up for reseller account?

Hi,

You can buy any resource or a feature from within your Control Panel. If you want more disk space, you can click “Change” in front of the disk space indicator and increase your amount to the desired level. Similarly you can buy IPs, accounts, etc.

Server short of disk space

Is it possible, that one day, cpwebhosting servers will be short of disk space, as it is continously adding more and more reseller accounts.

I don’t think, this will happen, as when a particular type of server have adequate number of customers, it is closed and new server is added

Plan Disk space is allocated on these servers as a web space(server space for storing your web applications files/log files etc.), Database space(database type MS SQL (Windows) or PostgreSQL/MySQL/Oracle (Linux) disk space) and Mail space.

Web space server depends on the type of web hosting selected ie Windows Server or Linux Server.

MS SQL (Windows) or PostgreSQL/MySQL/Oracle (Linux) disk space) is created on respective server. MS Access database is created in Web server.

Mails are stored on Linux server running Qmail application.

Billing system

One concern of reseller account holders is access to affordable billing system. Do you provide billing system to your reseller account holders (i.e. providing access to your Clientexec for instance) as part of your package?

yes hsphere has powerfull billing system which comes bundled with the plan .

so they dont need any other third party product .

Does that hold also true for CPANEL? I prefer to use CPANEL. The only free billing system I’m quite familiar with is PHPCoin.

Has anybody used AptHost?

I am looking for a ressller account, and I came across apthost.com. They seem to be a good choice. From what I’ve heard, their prices are fair. I just want to know if anybody has actually had experience with them?

Private Constructor

What is Private Constructor? and it’s use?

Yes ,when a class declares only private instance constructors, it is not possible for classes outside the program to derive from the class or to directly create instances of it. (Except Nested classes)
Make a constructor private if:
– You want it to be available only to the class itself. For example, you might have a special constructor used only in the implementation of your class’ Clone method.
– You do not want instances of your component to be created. For example, you may have a class containing nothing but Shared utility functions, and no instance data. Creating instances of the class would waste memory.

Any recommended resellers?

I really don’t have any experience with resellers, so can anybody give me some good recommendations? I’ll also take recommendations of resellers to stay away from. Also, what packages would you recommend?

Thanks in advance for your help.

The reseller package that you choose will depend on many factors, as does the hosting company you choose to begin with. You need to determine what your needs are. What the sites needs are? what you plan to do with the reseller account?

Then you will need to look at factors such as: are you wanting to become a hosting provider, if so what types of sites do you want to host? How much space your clients need vs how much you are getting in the seller account and so on.

Daily Backups

Do cpwebhosting, as a reseller taking backups daily, or we as a web-hosting company, have to take care of that?

Yes, cpwebhosting team used to take late night (EST) back-ups.

But, I think, it is also a good idea that web-hosting companies, must be sure that their customers, must be having a backup tape, which they don’t need to do daily, but can do at their ease level.

I do think that hosts should make regular backups of all data on their servers, though it is always a good idea for clients to make a backup copy of their account too – You never know when a backup file may be corrupted or inaccessible, and unfortunately you won’t know until it’s too late, your site is down and you’re losing visitors and/or business.

With easy backup tools available on most control panels, there really is no reason why you can’t hit backup once a week for peace of mind and added security.

I agree with Cobalt, backup on a more personal level are needed. I know so many people who put up their website and then the host went out of business they had no copies of their site, let alone any other information.

Discount when paid for a year or two

Hi,

Is there any discount provided by cpwebhosting, when payment is made for a year or two and by what % and also Is there any possibility to change billing period after sign-up?

Yes, there are discounts available, when you pay for a year or two, they are more than approx. 18%
Yes, billing period can be changed after sign-up, it can be done from your control panel Billing section.
As with most hosting companies they do offer discounts depending on how long you wish to pay. The longer you are paying for the better discount you will receive. The post above says 18% which is very good discount.

What are server controls?

Plz can anybody tell what are server controls?

Hello , Friend , ASP.NET server controls are components that run on the server and encapsulate user-interface and other related functionality. They are used in ASP.NET pages and in ASP.NET code-behind classes.

Upgradation of Reseller Plan

Hi,

If my bussiness expands can i upgrade automatically to a higher Hosting Plan with cpwebhosting?

Yes, from your Hosting Control Panel, you can easily change your Hosting Plan and with the expansion of your business, you can always opt for higher plan. There is no fee and you can change any time. When you change, system credits payment you made for a billing period beyond change date. It then charges your account for new plan fee starting from change date. If you want that your shared plan need to be upgraded to the reseller plan, then plz, you need to make a request to support, as for that you need to do the signup in a reseller account, and then transfer of the shared account need to be done.

It is standard with most plans that you can upgrade when your site needs to. Checking to see which plan will be best for you before you upgrade can be the key. You will want to look at some factors such as how fast is your site growing, what do you want to add in the near future. These things will help you to choose a new plan that you will not be changing again real soon.
