For new customers of Hostgator If a customer has newly signed up with Hostgator then a welcome must have reached the email address provided by the customer which has the IP address of the hosting server. For old Hostgator customers If an existing customer of Hostgator with domain already running then the access to cpanel  is like http://yourdomain.com/cpanel  This way of Hostgator login will only work if the DNS servers are updated with your particular domain registrar. And if a customer has several domains which are being hosted under one shared hosting account then the cpanel to be used is only one and the login will be same as Hostgator Login.
