IPad email series


Ipad is a tablet computer designed, developed and marketed by Apple Inc. It was released in 2010. It is used to play games, music, shoot videos, take photos, web surfing ,e-mailing etc.

 Configuring a POP email account in Ipad email   

  • To configure POP email account, first, locate and click the “Settings” icon. It is possible that it may be on a different screen or in a different location.

First,-locate-and-press-the-Settings--icon

  •  Then select “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”,
  • and click “Add Account”.

Then-select-Mail,-Contacts,-Calendarsthen-Add-Account

  •  Then choose “Other”.
  • Now click on “Add Mail Account” button

  • and enter the Name, Email address you want to configure and its password.

  • Now you have to enter the host Name, User Name and Password for the Incoming Mail Server & Outgoing Mail Server.

Configuring a POP email account with SSL in Ipad email

Turn SSL to on from the Incoming and outgoing settings menu ,click on the “server port “and make the POP port no. change to 995 in incoming and 465 for outgoing and click”Save”.Then restart your phone, for the  changes to take effect.

Go back to the home screen and again click the”Settings”icon Then select “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”, select your e-mail account and click “Advanced”.  How to setup your email signature in Ipad email

  • Your e-mail signature is setup, which you can see by selecting “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”, in signature box. Now return to the home screen by clicking the Home button on the iPad

How to change your email password in Ipad email

 How to delete an email account in Ipad email

  • First, locate and click the “Settings” icon. It is possible that it may be on a different screen or in a different location.
  •  Then select “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”

  • and select the e-mail account which you want to delete and
  • click on” Delete account” button.

  • Now return to the home screen by clicking the Home button on the iPad.

Configuring custom ports in Ipad e-mail

  • First, locate and click the “Settings” icon. It is possible that it may be on a different screen or in a different location.
  •  Then select “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”,

and select the account for which you want to change the port no. Now click “SMTP” under “outgoing mail server”. Next click “primary server”. Next click “server port”; change the port from “25” to “587”.Click “done”.
