.info v/s .us

Which one is better .info or .us?

What are your opinions on these two extensions?

I preffer .info than .us domain becasue .us domain sounds like my site is from US or for USA citizens.

With .info domain you can target worldwide audience, however .us somewhat doesn’t look good for worldwide audience.

.info is cheaper then .us

I prefer the .info. Not only the price is a lot better, .us is in my opinion (probably is) country bounded (USA)

i also prefer .info as they are generally cheaper, and you can make a good profit from them.

.info for anyone and .us for US, so i prefer .info domains.

I love .us domains.

The other posotive thing about .info is they are universally recognized and u can make money from it much quicker.

I also prefer .info in most cases but .us does have it’s applications also.

Criteria for .us extension

I want to register a .us Domain name. what is criteria to find .us extension

The U.S. Nexus Requirement ensures that only individuals or organizations that have a substantive connection to the United States can register .us domain names

To qualify, you must meet the following criterion.
1.A natural person (i) who is a citizen or permanent resident of the United States of America.
2.An entity or organization that is incorporated within U.S. states.
3.An entity or organization (including a federal, state, or local government of the United States, or a political subdivision thereof) that has a bona fide presence in the United States.

no one really does care aboutt he rules in registering US domains, because like Namepros, no rules applied when i registered a US domain there.

No one cares about the rules!
Neither registrars nor the registry, simply because it brings them money.

i had one .us domain but before buyng i dont know this rules.

theres nothing like that but its very easy to own.

If you really want a .us name, you just go to a US register & reg it.

Free parking v/s paid parking

Is free parking as good as paid?

I’ve seen domain parking services that claim to add relevant content as well as links, and want a percantage instead of charging a fee. They provide, well not free parking, but no-cost-if-it-flops parking..

i would never pay to park my domain. there are lots of free parking company.. where u can park free to earn.

I wouldn’t pay to park my domains.

There are both advantages and disadvantages in free parking.

I always go for free parking.

Highest profitable extension

From the which extension u have made the the highest profit.

For me the extention with the highest profit is .info. Maybe becuase its so cheap to register and there is less risk.

.com is always the best, that will never change.

Developing any .info domain has been a great experience for me but for domain sale, .com is best

.com has always been the best for me.

I would’ve loved to have 100 LLL.com as they are worth a fortune in todays market!

.name extension has value

Is a state name domain in .name extension has value?

I wouldn’t think that .name are really worth much at all. Not very popular extention.

.name extension is not short. choose a short extension.

Probably not much as compared to what you get from a .com, .net, .info or us.

I personally would put my money into a better extention that would make money. I think .name is going to die soon.

I wouldn’t advise you on buying any of them.

Personally, I’ve never liked that tld and I doubt I’ll ever register one.

Thoughts about Private Registration

What are your thoughts about Private Registration, is it useful?

i use private registration to protect my personal infos. It depends whether it is available or not from where I am registering the domain names.

I like Private Registration on my personal domains, if the domains are for reselling, then I wouldn’t take it unless the private registration is free. I don’t like to have my information shown to public.

I’ve never really found any benefit for it.

It’s really useless in my opinion.

Country specific third level domain (TLD) names are significantly more expensive

I wonder why country specific third level domain (TLD) names are significantly more expensive than any TLD available around.

Because They have every right to charge a high amount for their county’s tld.

I think it is due to law of supply and demand.

I don’t mind this because it means that there are fewer spammy sites as a result.

Resale value of .de, .ca & .co.uk

Out of these 3 extentions .de, .ca & .co.uk , how would you rate them in terms of resale value from highest to lowest?

Would you say the order is:

.co.uk
.de
.ca

.co.uk is definitely the best because of large viewership.

Sure .co.uk because other two mentioned are ccTLDs.

Particular numbers worth more then others

I m just wanted to find out some info about numbered domains without any letters in it. Are any particular numbers worth more then others

For double digit domains, are repeting numbered domains more valuable, eg. 22 is better than 20?

I think 1 is better then other numbers.

I doubt there is much resale value in most numbers. You might find a few that could be marketable to specific niches i.e. 69 – 420 – 666 etc.

But if you owned NN.com, NNN.com & even NNNN.com, they are worth money as
compare to numbers

Not sure about .info extension but they are definitely worth good bucks if they are .com. One thing is for sure, you’ll definitely get more than reg fee for these, probably a lot more than reg fee.

.in v/s .co.in

Which extention is better .in or .co.in ?

I like .in

.in because it easy to remember.

.in are so expensive as compared to other extentions.

Yes, .in domain are expensive at 17$

co.in is cheaper I think, but I prefer a .in if it’s still available since the chances of a visitor typing it in wrong is less.

I think .in is better because co.in is long in length but .in is short.

I also suggest .in

.in is very good. Very short and attractive.

I prefer .co.in because it was launched first and still rules the market.
