how do you find end buyers for your names??

Let’s say you have a domain, consisted out of 2 keywords: Keyword1Keyword2.com .

forward your domains for sale to a retail sales site so if someone is interested, they land on a sales page. In most cases, you can make more per month selling domains than you can from parking anyway so that’s what I recommend.

when you have good names, they will contact you.

How to find end users for NOT premium domains:-

1. Go to google and search for “Keyword1 keyword2”.
2. Find the websites that use the this exact combination of words
3. Make a list of these websites, preferably over 100
4. Now you need to contact them. You should always contact the person who appears in the website’s whois info, because that is usually the decision maker of that company. When you go through the contact forms of the website your message might not reach the decision maker in time or at all.
5. Write them all an email, as personalized as possible for each website. Briefly explain who you are and why you think that they would benefit from owning that domain name. DO NOT inflate your prices and offer them to pay for the FULL escrow fee. At the end, always include your full name and contact info, including telephone number.
* If the name is really good, you are better off sending them a formal letter(snail mail), or calling them, instead of using email.
6. You can also invite them to an auction instead of directly offering them the name. You may have a SEDO auction running, on eBay or anywhere else and just provide them with the URL.

I have heared about .vc domain. what worth it has?

.vc stands for virtual community and etc. I doubt .vc domains does not receive more traffics.

Quite honestly it’s an exotic ccTLD among 200+ others.
Even .cc would be better (more established).
For development any ext could do the job.
For investment purpose => stay away from exotic extensions.

I still don’t understand the difference between a domain and a sub-domain.

A subdomain is like forums.cpwebhosting.net where the forums part is the subdomain.

A domain is cpwebhosting.net where it has nothing before it.

Domains = contain the DNS, subdomains can’t use their own DNS unless you have a script for it.
Subdomains are usually where you put added on features to a normal domain, like a forum or gallery.

subdomain is a name you can use before your domain, generally where you see www on most sites.

To create subdomains you need a domain to begin. Also how to make them would depend on the control panel your webhosting provider provides along with the option given by your web hosting provider to create them, check with your webhoster to check if they offer it as an option and which control panel they use to receive a proper response

if you have a forum at www,yoursite.com/forum, you can create a subdomain called forum and link to it. then it would be forum.yoursite.com.

i was thinkin of getting some .in domains..

what do you think? are they worth it or not?

.in domains will be a good investment though .com is way ahead.

How can we register .edu domain??

u need to be from a school which is registered..

What do you think about .tv domain ?

The .tv extension has been revived by Demand Media and is now widely associated with media/video and television by many, both within the domaining industry and enduser’s.

.tv domains are very expensive.

Seemed a good idea at the time, but probably not worth much really.

I think the .tv extension has huge potential to be the #2 player behind .com However I am somewhat worried about how Demand Media is handling the extension. Many people I have spoken with have expressed concerns or questions about their premium pricing.

Why are .info domains so cheap?

Because it’s a promo price for the 1st year only, expect to pay between $5-$10 for renewals.
